1. How long have you been doing CrossFit? 6 Years, since moving to Chappaqua

2. What brought you to CFMK?  Some great guidance from some original members: Ted and Amy Holmes along with Brad Jacobs.  One day I was running on my block when Ted spotted me and yelled at me, “Go to CrossFit!” I had no idea what CrossFit was at the time but, I was very curious.  That next week, I started going to the 5:30am class and I’ve loved it ever since!

3. What is your favorite lift, movement or WOD?  My favorites are Back Squats, Box Jumps and Double-Unders.  My favorite WOD is a CFMK original, Running out of Power!

4.  What is your least favorite?  Fran (21-15-9) Thrusters & Pull-ups

5. Proudest CrossFit accomplishment so far?  CrossFit challenges me every day and I truly try to accomplish something significant every week.  My proudest CF accomplishment is completing my first Half Marathon in March! I received unbelievable support and guidance from the CFMK coaching staff, led by Phillip Itwaru and running partner, Kathy Tilden.

6. What are your short term and long-term CF goals?  Short term, I strive to improve my strength and fitness every day practicing a healthy lifestyle.  Long-term, I plan on running the NYC Marathon in November, so I look forward to putting in the hard work to accomplishing that goal.

7. What advice do you have for new members or those considering joining?  There are many gyms and health clubs you could join…and then there’s CFMK!  If you are looking for a positive and motivating experience with The Best Community out there…there is no other choice-CrossFit Mount Kisco!  If you are new to CrossFit, you are not alone. We were all new at one point but, it takes dedication to build your skills, stamina and weights so that every workout is challenging for YOU!  You are doing this for yourself, set goals for yourself and go achieve them!

8. What is your favorite quote and/or words to live by?  “There may be people that have more talent than you but, there’s no excuse for anyone to work harder than you do.”  -Derek Jeter

9. What are your hobbies/interests outside of CrossFit?  Running, playing soccer, hiking, coaching sports for my girls and spending valuable time with my family!

10. What do you love most about CFMK?  There is so much to Love about CFMK! Head Coach Phil and his excellent coaching staff have created a culture where they help everyone achieve their own personal fitness goals.  Every member is valued from the day you step foot in the gym. The community of people at CFMK is so strong! Not only does everyone want you to succeed but, you feel it in every workout as people are genuinely cheering you on.  We are constantly giving back to the community with amazing & meaningful charity events. We also have fun in-house competitions and social events. This Community truly does it all and it is a special place to be!
